How to get your independent hotel on ChatGPT
An independent hotel can appear on ChatGPT in two ways: the AI finds it online and recommends it, or the AI checks its rates and availability through a connector. The first depends on your website and the sources the AI reads. The second lets guests book inside the conversation. It pays to work on both.
Route 1: get found online
ChatGPT and other assistants search the web before they recommend. To be considered, your property needs to appear in the sources they read: your own website, local guides, tourist boards and regional portals. The more specific and consistent your details are, the easier you are to cite.
What to check on your website
Start with what you control:
- The same name, address and phone number everywhere.
- Capacity, amenities and real distances: to the beach, the centre or whatever your guests look for.
- Indicative prices and cancellation terms that are easy to find.
- schema.org structured data on your pages.
- Access allowed for AI crawlers such as OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot.
- Your tourist registration number, if you are required to have one.
Route 2: let the AI check your rates
With a connector, the assistant asks directly for your availability and official rate, and the guest can book in the conversation. It is the closest thing to a direct booking, but it has a limit: usually the guest must have that connector installed, or the assistant must choose to use it. So it does not replace route 1.
What nobody can promise you
Nobody controls what an AI answers. Answers change with the question, the moment and the assistant. Be wary of anyone who guarantees a position or a number of bookings.
How to check whether you appear
Open a temporary chat, with no memory or personalisation, and ask as a traveller would: “I'm looking for a hotel in my area for two adults in June.” Repeat the same question every week and note whether you appear and which sites are cited. One test says little, because answers vary.
How iQuota helps
iQuota builds your hotel's AI agent from your contract, with no PMS, channel manager or booking engine needed. It publishes a page with your official details and a connector with your rates and availability. Guests book and pay at the property, with 0% commission. We cannot guarantee you will appear in an ordinary question, but we can get your official data ready for AI to use.
Want to publish your property? The first 30 hotels join free until 30 June 2027.

How much does iQuota cost?
From €29 a month per property, excluding VAT, with no lock-in and 0% commission. The first 30 hotels join free until 30 June 2027 through the Founding Hotels programme.
Do I need a PMS or channel manager?
Not to use iQuota. Your contract or your rates are enough; the hotel reviews and confirms the details before they are published.
Does this work for Gemini, Claude or Perplexity too?
The work on your website helps with any assistant that reads the web. The connector depends on each assistant: iquota.io/ai shows where each one stands.
